This library is part of the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) network. It is a free service of the Arkansas State Library, providing popular books and magazines in unabridged recorded format (cassette and flash memory) and in braille to all eligible Arkansans. All Arkansas library for the blind patrons have access to and may borrow materials from the National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind network's catalog of over 365,000 titles in recorded or braille format. Free loan of books, playback equipment, and adaptive equipment as necessary.

Eligibility
Anyone who cannot see well enough to read regular print even with their glasses, anyone with a physical disability that would make it difficult for them to hold a book or turn the pages, or anyone with a medically diagnosed reading or learning disability is eligible.
