Offers information about Diabetes, Diabetes supplies and the research being done to help find a cure. Explains about some of the complications associated with it. It is a disorder in which the pancreas produces too little insulin with the result that the body is unable to adequately metabolize sugar. Principal symptoms are elevated blood sugar, sugar in the urine, excessive urine production and increased food intake. Complications of diabetes if left untreated include low resistance to infections leading to a susceptibility to gangrene, cardiovascular and kidney disorders, disturbances in the electrolyte balance and eye disorders, some of which may lead to blindness.

A variety of support sessions are provided by the Cancer Support Home to meet the needs of cancer survivors (both during and post treatment), family members and caregivers. These sessions provide a safe, comfortable place to share fears, concerns and ask questions of others who have already been through the rigors of cancer treatment.Groups meet at different locations and times, with each group having a unique focus. These sessions are designed to provide a variety of outlets through facilitated group conversation or other creative class instruction.Coping and Conversation An on-going support group designed to help patients, their family members and friends better understand what it means to live with cancer. Meets every Wednesday at Noon at the Cancer Support Home in Fayetteville.Survivor Circle Support for women who are surviving breast cancer. Group meets quarterly. This groups meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10-Noon at the Fayetteville Cancer Support Home. Contact group facilitator Jack Igleburger at 479-876-1051 to learn more.This Point Forward This Point Forward offers free supportive counseling for cancer patients and family members. Counseling services are performed by a licensed mental health professional. Free sessions are available on every other Tuesdays at the Cancer Support Home in Fayetteville.

The Child Development Centers serve children from six weeks to five years of age who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay or disability. These include prematurity, cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome or seizure disorders, among others. They provide habilitation, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy in a preschool setting with a state-approved curriculum. The mix of children with and without disabilities in a preschool setting prepares all of the children for a life in a community filled with diversity. The Early Childhood Program is a day treatment center with a program that includes children who have no disabilities learning and playing along with children who have been diagnosed with developmental delays.

Work Activity is a facility-based service offered through UCP employment services. The service is designed to teach universal work skills to men and women with disabilities and facilitate future employment.
