Environmental Accessibility Adaptations/Adaptive Equipment services enable the individual to increase, maintain and/or improve his or her functional capacity to perform daily life tasks that would not be possible otherwise. Environmental Accessibility Adaptations/Adaptive Equipment is physical adaptations to the home that are necessary to ensure the health, welfare and safety of the beneficiary, to function with greater independence in the home and preclude or postpone institutionalization. Adaptive equipment also enables the Alternatives beneficiary to increase, maintain and/or improve his/her functional capacity to perform daily life tasks that would not be possible otherwise and perceive, control or communicate with the environment in which he or she lives.

Program conduct tests of an individual's genetic material (DNA, RNA, chromosomes, proteins, and certain metabolites) to establish whether there are risk factors associated with particular diseases or disabilities, to help identify or exonerate individuals involved in criminal matters based on DNA evidence, or to establish paternity or maternity for legal or immigration purposes. Genetic testing generally involves individuals suspected of criminal activity or being at high risk for a disease or disability whereas genetic screening is conducted with a broader population about which risk factors are unknown.

This program offers a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) that provides children and adolescents struggling with psychiatric difficulties the perfect environment in which to thrive. We treat children, adolescents, and teens ages 6 through 17, separating them into different groups based upon age and gender.
