The TEA program also provides assistance to children being cared for by non-parental guardians. Financial assistance is based on family size, income, resources and the ages of the children. Time-limited support is provided with a variety of supportive services while moving individuals back into the labor market.

Please see individual sites for scheduling details.Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) is a free program primarily offered to seniors 55 and older which is operated by certified volunteers and allows seniors the opportunity to file and direct deposit their tax refund for free.Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides community members with free tax preparation and financial literacy. The program is operated by certified volunteers and allows clients the opportunity to file and direct deposit their tax refund for free and ensure proper tax credits are utilized.NOTE: Beginning in 2017, a new law requires the IRS to hold refunds on tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until mid-February. Under the change required by Congress in the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS must hold the entire refund--even the portion not associated with the EITC and ACTC--until at least February 15. This change helps ensure that the taxpayers get the refund they are owed by giving the IRS more time to help detect and prevent fraud.OJO: A partir de 2017, una nueva ley aprobada por el Congreso requiere que el IRS retenga reembolsos de impuestos que reclaman el EITC o el ACTC hasta mediados de febrero. Special Olympics Arkansas
An international program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities which features a variety of sports and games. Children must be age eight or older to compete. Special Olympics events include alpine skiing, aquatics (swimming, diving, flotation races), athletics (running and track and field), badminton, basketball, bocce, bowling, cross country skiing, cycling, equestrian, figure skating, floor hockey, golf, gymnastics, powerlifting, roller skating, sailing, soccer, softball, speedskating, table tennis, team handball, tennis and volleyball. Included are organizations that sponsor, organize, hold, promote, sell tickets to and publicize the events; provide information about competition schedules; and/or maintain information about current standings.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

Program (formerly known as Food Stamp Program) provides food assistance to eligible households to cover a portion of a household's food budget. Benefits are distributed through an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. SNAP benefits can be used to purchase eligible food items for home consumption including seeds and plants which produce food for consumption by SNAP households. Farmers markets are available for SNAP benefits as well as eligible retailers. In addition to food assistance, the program provides SNAP recipients with nutrition education, employment and training, and work experience in some cases.Call (800) 997-9999 toll-free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to: Report a lost, stolen or damaged EBT card. Select a PIN when one receives a new card. NOTE: There is no need to change one's PIN if one requests a replacement card. Change one's PIN if someone knows what one's is or if one has forgotten a PIN. Balance inquiry. Obtain a list of last 10 transactions. Report if a store deducted the wrong amount. Ask a question about using EBT card. In the case of a disaster, the local DHS office will provide food. When help seekers mention the loss of food due to power outages or local disaster, they may request emergency food assistance. For power outage, the form requires proof of time power was lost and when it was restored. Customers have ten (10) days from the time power is restored to submit the request for assistance.

The CJS Sanctions Program includes community service supervision, intensive supervision and tracking, and electronic monitoring/home detention services. This program is available to the Juvenile Court as an alternative to commitment for juvenile offenders. Through community service supervision, CJS sanctions staff supervise youth as they complete a specified number of court-ordered hours of volunteer labor for area non-profit agencies and schools. The intensive supervision and tracking program offers court-ordered intensive monitoring of youth through contact with CJS staff for a specified period of time. The electronic monitoring/home detention program utilizes GPS technology to electronically monitor a youth's whereabouts at all times.

Program provides daily or weekly email reports for the most current changes in patient assistance programs. Program alert service allows subscribers to receive important PAP updates as they become available, including contact information, changes, new, closed or merged programs, drug additions/removals, new or changed applications and eligibility criteria changes to programs. Once a month, subscribers will also receive a list of the brand name drugs that have a new generic equivalent approved by the FDA. The information includes the brand name, generic drug name with its formulation and strength, generic manufacturer and approval date. To sign up for PAPUS, community members should visit the subscription center.
