Program provides assistance with reopening clients coverage. If community members lost coverage because they failed to provide requested information, they still can provide that information and have their coverage re-opened. They have 30 days to do so after their closing date if they qualified for Medicaid under Long-Term Services and Supports eligibility rules. They have 90 days after their closing date if they qualified for Medicaid under Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) eligibility rules.If one loses their card, they should call 1 (800) 482-8988 as soon as they notice their card is missing.NOTE:DHS is beginning the renewal process for ALL Medicaid beneficiaries NOW! If community members receive any request from DHS in the mail, THEY MUST RESPOND WITHIN 30 DAYS. Closed Caption Phones for Hearing Impaired
Program provides a no-cost telephone for individuals with hearing loss. Program also provides installation, delivery, in home training for the technology, and ongoing customer support. CaptionCall phones work like traditional telephones but also provide closed captions of what the callers say.

Environmental Accessibility Adaptations/Adaptive Equipment services enable the individual to increase, maintain and/or improve his or her functional capacity to perform daily life tasks that would not be possible otherwise. Environmental Accessibility Adaptations/Adaptive Equipment is physical adaptations to the home that are necessary to ensure the health, welfare and safety of the beneficiary, to function with greater independence in the home and preclude or postpone institutionalization. Adaptive equipment also enables the Alternatives beneficiary to increase, maintain and/or improve his/her functional capacity to perform daily life tasks that would not be possible otherwise and perceive, control or communicate with the environment in which he or she lives.
