This library is part of the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) network. It is a free service of the Arkansas State Library, providing popular books and magazines in unabridged recorded format (cassette and flash memory) and in braille to all eligible Arkansans. All Arkansas library for the blind patrons have access to and may borrow materials from the National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind network's catalog of over 365,000 titles in recorded or braille format. Free loan of books, playback equipment, and adaptive equipment as necessary.

An important part of what CRDC does everyday is connect people with the services and information they need. If our agency does not operate the program or service you need, we will provide you with the necessary information and a referral to another local agency that can address your need.For your convenience we provide information over the phone as well as in our facilities. Our Human Service Centers are even equipped to assist individuals with completing and understanding assistance application forms.

Coordinates emergency management activities including planning, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. Also receives reports of incidents that occur within their jurisdiction and disseminates emergency-related information.

Meals are delivered to those who are shut-in or home bound.

Program provides financial benefits for workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own, are able to, available for, and actively seeking work as instructed.Community members are encouraged to file an initial claim to see if they are eligible for benefits. Available Monday through Friday on Springdale, Bentonville, Harrison and Mountain Home campuses. AIS is specifically designed for individuals with a persistent, chronic mental illness and primarily uses the Rehabilitative Day Services model. Individual, family, and group therapies with a licensed mental health professional, as well as adult life skills/ case management, are also available through the AIS programs.

An annual holiday gift drive that strives to provide meaningful Christmas gifts to the residents in every facility we serve. Gift ideas include sweat suits, pajamas, non-slip socks, house shoes, plain colored t-shirts, etc. For many residents, especially those with no family, these may be the only new items they receive in a year.A Drive-Thru Event will take place on November 30th at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Drop-off locations will be available through December 16th at the Project Compassion Office, various First National Bank branch locations, the Hampton Inn - Van Buren, Spirit 106.3, various Simmons Bank branch locations, and Arkansas Best Federal Credit Union.

If community members lost coverage because they failed to provide requested information, they still can provide that information and have their coverage re-opened. They have 30 days to do so after their closing date if they qualified for Medicaid under Long-Term Services and Supports eligibility rules.
